COMPETITIVE SOCCER SEASON

Depending on the league and age bracket, the league season can start as early as mid-August and run until Thanksgiving.  However, tournament play covers much of the rest year.  Teams at lower play levels may play two pre-season (June, July or August) and one post-season tournament (Dec or Jan.)  Teams playing at a higher-level may have more-intense schedules with tournaments starting in May and extending to February.  There are league and State/National Cup competitions from January through March for the younger teams (thru U13) and from April through May for the older age brackets (after the high school season has ended.). Express also offers ongoing supplement training/skills programs t throughout the year.  Please contact us with any questions.

COMPETITIVE PROGRAM FEES & SCHOLARSHIPS

The fees for competitive soccer are understandably higher than recreational soccer. These fees are used to pay for professional coaches, league fees, equipment, fields, lights, referees and a small administrative staff.  Fees for participating in tournaments are additional and are not included in the League Registration Fee. Encinitas Express provides financial aid to qualified families and scholarships to exceptional players. All requests for financial aid must be made at the point of TRYOUTS and are kept confidential. For financial aid consideration, please request aid on the online tryout form.   We request that families receiving aid commit to 10 hours of volunteer work throughout the year to help with club events.

UNIFORMS

Uniforms are not included in registration fees and separate payment will be collected at the point of registration.  The uniform kit will consist of one pair of game day shorts, one game day warm up shirt, two pairs of socks and two jerseys: one jersey for away games and one jersey for home games. Players will also be provided with two practice tees.   Other gear is available but optional.
