Welcome to the Encinitas Express Soccer's Recreational Program. We annually serve over 1000 children in the Encinitas area. We emphasize fun, skill building and sportsmanship. All children play at least half the game and the teams are organized with a goal of enabling younger children to play with kids from their same school or neighborhood.  Competitive balance is emphasized in the older divisions.  Rec soccer is parent-driven.  We need parents to coach and sponsor the teams.  Without parents, the league cannot function.

 

Encinitas Express offers a fall program of 10 to 11 games.  The season begins the weekend after Labor Day and concludes the weekend before Thanksgiving.  All players receive a uniform (jersey, shorts, socks).  Registration begins in March, with discounted walk-in registration days and continues via mail thru the spring and summer.  Registration officially concludes May 31, but late registrations are accepted up until the start of the season.  Unfortunately, we cannot always guarantee placement of late registrants as the teams are formed in June before school lets out for summer.  In reality 95% of late registrants are placed on a team.  And, when it comes to 'guaranteeing placement', we can only do that WHEN WE HAVE ENOUGH COACHING VOLUNTEERS.  Please VOLUNTEER to coach.  Like us on FACEBOOK, too.

 

DIVISIONS GRADES in FALL AGES (as of July 31) Division 7 Pre-K to 1st 5 & 6 Division 6 2nd 7 Division 5 3rd & 4th 8 & 9 Division 4 5th & 6th 10 & 11 Division 3 7th & 8th 12 & 13 Division 2 9th & 10th 14 & 15 Division 1 11th to 13th 16, 17, & 18 NOTE: In soccer, the player's age is determined by their age on JULY 31.  If they are 7 on July 31, they are considered 'U8' or 'Under 8'.  If they turn 8 on Aug 1, they are still considered Under 8 for the season.  We try to move such players up a division when we have room and enough volunteer coaches, especially when, in this example, they will be in the 3rd grade in the fall.
