The fees for competitive soccer are higher than recreational soccer. These fees are used to pay for professional coaches, CYSA and Presidio gaming fees, uniforms, equipment, fields, a basic photo package and lots more. Fees for participating in tournaments are additional and are not included in the League Registration Fee.
Encinitas Express provides scholarships to qualified families. All requests for scholarship are kept confidential. For scholarship requests please contact our registrar or talk to your coach. Applications will be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. We also provide limited opportunities for families to complete field work during the season to help offset registration fees.
Encinitas Express players are provided with a new uniform each year. The uniform consists of one pair of shorts, one pair of socks and two jerseys: One white jersey for away games and one navy jersey for home games. Warm up gear and bags are optional and can be purchased at time of registration.
Encinitas Express offers excellent skill development clinics called Elite Clinics every Friday during the season for 12-14 weeks starting in July and ending in October.
Our Director of Coaching, Juli Veee, runs these clinics. Each session is one hour and is dedicated to teaching a wide array of soccer skills including ball skills, shooting skills and goalie skills. The clinics include "Speed and Running Techniques" training from Paul Wright, acknowledged as the fastest player in US Soccer, trainer in speed and running to the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Blast (indoor soccer team) as well as a current San Diego Sockers player. Clinics also include goalie training (goalie training is augmented with twice-weekly trainings during the week).
Encinitas Express offers each player the chance to grow as a soccer player and as an individual. The children have an opportunity to learn valuable lessons in teamwork, to advance as a player and to become a responsible citizen. The League subscribes to a Code of Conduct for our players, coaches and parents. We are primarily a League for the community though we do recruit and attract players from neighboring areas.
