Brett Mills - Director of program development

Brett Mills has 15 years of coaching experience and a long history with Express having played for the club as a youth player and now serving as a coach and Director of Program Development.  He grew up in Village Park and attended La Costa Canyon High School where he earned three varsity letters in the boy's soccer program before playing two years at the college level at Palomar College.  Brett served as the Director of Younger Teams at Express from 2015-2019 and starts his new role as Director of Program Development effective January 1, 2020.  As Director of Program Development, Brett will be focused on our recreational and outreach programs, creating and implementing more pathways for children in our community to play soccer. Brett will also be assisting players and families with the transition from recreational to competitive play.

 

COACHING Philosophy:

"My goal is to help young players achieve their full potential as soccer players by creating a challenging, supportive and positive environment for the athlete to grow. I want to teach skills that can be used on and off the field with an emphasis on team building, commitment and sportsmanship."
