Edwin Lee

Edwin Rodriguez Lee rejoins us at Encinitas Express now with 10 years of coaching experience at various levels in San Diego and abroad. Recently he served as a coach / video analyst for the 3rd division pro team 1904 FC for the 2021 season. He also coaches at Grossmont College and Granite Hills High school.

Edwin is a life-long learner of the game and has traveled to attend advanced coaching courses in Spain, Netherlands, England and Croatia. He is also a firm believer that video is an important tool for educating football/soccer players whether it is video clips of your own games, or watching the professional game on television.

Coaching Philosophy:

"My goal is to improve players’ individual decision making and execution of their decisions using skills within the team context. Fundamentally, I want to help increase their understanding of the game and their awareness through scanning to perceive more options while choosing the best one in each situation. I see the game through the lens of creating and occupying spaces on the pitch/field through better positioning and movement at the right time, direction, and speed."
